When should I start my own fund?

The sooner the better, if you are under 30 years of age and have $5000.00 you should start right now, as you get older the starting point could be higher, it depends on your cash flow and available monies and whether you have current Superannuation Funds which could be Rolled Over into your own fund. If retirement is upon you, we suggest that you should have approximately $100,000.00 to make it worthwhile to establish your own fund.

Tony Chartres established his first Self Managed Superannuation fund for a client some 20 years ago, so he has a long and productive involvement in the formation and administration of Self Managed Superannuation Funds.
